Justin Simnitt, Associate Broker
Justin grew up in the Portland area but has made his home in Salem for the last ten years. He graduated from Corban University, majoring in Business Administration and Accounting, and began his career. Prior to working in finance, Justin’s first professional endeavor began in high school when he started a business helping families in the community do landscaping and home improvement projects. As he planned to attend college, Justin knew he wanted to be in a field that allowed him to connect with people and put to use strong business sense and practice. During his time in college, Justin was active in school and coaching high school basketball. You will still often find him on the court playing basketball with friends or on the golf course trying not to throw his clubs in the lake.
Despite Justin’s love for athletics and competition, his greatest win was scoring his beautiful wife, Megan in 2012. Together they enjoy serving in their church, sharing Christ’s love in the community, hosting friends and family for dinner, working in their yard, and trying out new coffee shops and restaurants in town.
While Justin worked as an accountant and Megan as a pre-school teacher, they began to search for their own first home. Being first-time home buyers was both exciting and nerve-wracking, but when they found the house they were overcome with joy envisioning the ways they could make it a home. This process sparked a desire in Justin to bring the excitement and peace of mind that clients need as they look to purchase or sell their home. His hard work, financial background, and attention to detail make Justin a reliable and helpful resource, but it is his genuine care for those he works with, that sets him apart. Justin’s greatest desire is to make sure his clients are listened to and taken care of with the ease of a little laughter along the way as they too find their house to make a home.
Kaitlyn Hunter, Unlicensed Assistant
Kaitlyn was raised in Colbert, Washington, just north of Spokane and relocated to Salem in 2011 to attend Corban University. She has studied psychology with a focus in counseling. To say she enjoys helping people would be an understatement. Although real estate is not in the psychology field, Kaitlyn is able to use her skills from her schooling to better assist not only their clients but also the staff of The Braunworth Group.
In the spring of 2013, Kaitlyn married Shane, a native of Salem, and they began to put down roots. While attending Salem Heights Church, Kaitlyn and Shane became involved in a small group, have served in the middle school youth group, and have been able to grow with this thriving community of believers.
Although Kaitlyn is not a licensed assistant, she has been able to work through the restrictions and has become a phenomenal assistant. You can expect to talk with her if you call into the office with any questions you might have.
